Greetings and abundant regards,
The Scientific Association of Traditional Persian Medicine proudly announces that in the process of evaluation and accreditation of scientific associations of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, and based on the latest assessment by the Secretariat of the Commission on Scientific Associations of the Ministry of Health for the years 2021-2022 (Letter No. 503/312 dated September 23, 2025), the Scientific Association of Traditional Persian Medicine, by obtaining 759 points, has succeeded in achieving the second rank among 113 active scientific associations out of 200 scientific associations affiliated with the Ministry of Health (with an average score of 427) and has been placed in the group of 5-star scientific associations (as the highest ranking). This success has been achieved under circumstances where, in terms of membership numbers, sources of income, material and spiritual support, frequent marginalization, heavy attacks, inherent and incidental limitations of the field of Persian Medicine, access to elements of power, etc., the situation of the Scientific Association of Traditional Persian Medicine was and is by no means comparable to many other scientific associations. Undoubtedly, achieving this valuable position would not have been possible without the tireless, sincere, and dedicated efforts of the members of the Fifth Term Board of Directors, all esteemed permanent members of the Scientific Association, including Branch Presidents, Deans of Schools, Department Heads, Faculty Members, Students, Graduates, as well as the Association's Experts. The Scientific Association of Traditional Persian Medicine congratulates this success to the country's scientific community, the esteemed members of the Association, and all enthusiasts of the school of Traditional Persian Medicine. It also expresses its gratitude for the worthy support and cooperation of the Persian Medicine and Complementary Medicine Office of the Ministry of Health and thanks the School of Persian Medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences for hosting the office space of the Scientific Association. The National Congress of Persian Medicine, as a significant scientific event, plays a fundamental role in the development and expansion of traditional medicine in the country.
The goal of holding these congresses is to create an opportunity for exchanging ideas and transferring knowledge among specialists and researchers in traditional medicine, enhancing the scientific level of this field, and introducing this research to the community.
We seek to transform the National Congress of Persian Medicine into an international event and benefit from the presence of foreign experts and researchers at this congress.
One of our most important decisions at this meeting is to hold the National Congress of Persian Medicine annually. This decision reflects the importance of traditional medicine in the country and our commitment to elevating the scientific level of this discipline.
